Subhas graduated with degrees in Law and Accounting from the University of Auckland in 1978.
He is admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor in New Zealand and Fiji.
Before commencing his 35 year career, Subhas spent 4 years as an Accountant for Nissan Motor Distributors (NZ) Ltd. While with Nissan Motors, he acted as a consultant to the Nissan, Toyota and Mazda group of companies to implement a Dealer Management System for them. He left in 1982 as a Management Accountant.
Subhas commenced practice of law in 1983 at Parshotam & Co (as it then was) and has practiced in Fiji since. His primary areas of practice are Civil and Commercial Litigation, Arbitration, Banking, Conveyancing, Company, Family Law (particularly in the area of property distribution), Estates, Tax and Employment.
Subhas attended Marist Brothers’ High School, Suva and completed his secondary school education at Mt Roskill Grammar School, Auckland, New Zealand.
He is a regular presenter at conventions, conferences and legal workshops, particularly for new legislation and in developing areas of the law. He is also a regular presenter of guest lectures at Fiji Universities.
